Look at what you have, instead of what you have lost. Because it’s not what the world takes away from you that counts; it’s what you do with what you have left.
Don’t sit around feeling sorry about your circumstances or how others have treated you. Instead, take responsibility for your role in life, work on changing what can be changed, and keep in mind that life isn’t always easy or fair. ... See MoreSee Less

In this learning experience called life, there are things that happen that are difficult. It helps a lot to remember that there is always an answer greater than the problem we are experiencing.
We sometimes feel that we have made a mistake and we don’t like the results. Nevertheless, the proper thinking about the 'problem' we have access to the power to receive a useful answer.
Wherever you are right now, take a deep breath and know your greatest answer is seeking to emerge through you.

It has to end, you know. The self-hatred. The collective shaming. The disdain for other. The emotional armor. The buried pain. The displaced humans. The misplaced kindness. The repressed trauma. The fake positivity. The meaningless materialism. The forgotten heart. We’re all tired of these patterns. We aren’t built to carry them. Never were. They are perverting and distorting us. They’re too heavy for our tender hearts. It has to begin, you know. The self-love. The collective healing. The love for other. The emotional release. The liberated pain. The welcomed humans. The perpetual kindness. The honored story. The authentic feeling. The meaningful purpose. The open heart. We are ready to surrender these patterns to a deeper love. Of self. Of other. Of Earth. It’s why we are here. To rejoice in our time together, on our beautiful planet home. It’s time to lay down our weapons and welcome every precious human life into our arms like a new born. Every human cradled in compassion and kindness. Every human honored as a true reflection of the Divine. Every human loved like our life depends on it. Because it does. We are lost without each other. It's time. <3 jeff brown <3
As my patient approaches the end her life, she likes talking about spirituality and the meaning of life. I encourage her to explore her feelings as we talk about her beliefs and experiences or the most meaningful moments.
She showed this poem to me :
"We say that flowers return every spring, but that is a lie. It is true that the world is renewed. It is also true that that renewal comes at a price,
for even if the flower grows from an ancient vine, the flowers of spring are themselves new to the world, untried and untested.
The flower that wilted last year is gone. Petals once fallen are fallen forever. Flowers do not return in the spring, rather they are replaced.
It is in this difference between returned and replaced that the price
of renewal is paid.
And as it is for spring flowers, so it is for us."

The Price of Spring

Making the most of each day ... In all our actions today, lets make sure one of those actions is an action of a gift of kindness, of caring expression, that really makes another person's life, a better life, because you walked their way on this day. - Mary Morrissey <3
No one can give a definition of the soul. But we know what it feels like.
The soul is the sense of something higher than ourselves, something that stirs in us thoughts, hopes, and aspirations which go out to the world of goodness,
truth and beauty.
The soul is a burning desire to breathe in this world of light and never to lose it -
to remain children of light.

JOURNEY OF THE SOUL One of the qualities that you can develop, particularly in your older years, is a sense of great compassion for yourself. When you visit the wounds within the temple of memory, you should not blame yourself for making bad mistakes that you greatly regret. Sometimes you have grown unexpectedly through these mistakes. Frequently, in a journey of the soul, the most precious moments are the mistakes. They have brought you to a place that you would otherwise have always avoided. You should bring a compassionate mindfulness to your mistakes and wounds. Endeavor to inhabit the rhythm you were in at that time. If you visit this configuration of your soul with forgiveness in your heart, it will fall into place itself. When you forgive yourself, the inner wounds begin to heal. You come in out of the exile of hurt into the joy of inner belonging. John O'Donohue Excerpt from ANAM CARA <3 irish wisdom <3
It's not what you have been through in your life that defines who you are, It's how you got through it that has made you the person you are today. <3
